Friday Night Folk at All Souls

Friday Night Folk concerts began at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Congregation in New London in 1989, bringing quality folk music and performers to Southeastern Connecticut. Through the years, folk music fans from all over New England have enjoyed the music of Utah Philips, Cheryl Wheeler, Bill Staines, Bill Morrissey, Vance Gilbert, Aztec Two-Step, John Gorka, Patty Larkin, Geoff Kaufman, Voco, Ida Red, Work o’ the Weavers, The Burns Sisters, Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion, Richard Shindell, John Flynn and John Wort Hannam, emma’s revolution, and Shoreline Acoustic Music Society events.

Concerts are held several times a year in Unity Hall.  Check out our website for information on upcoming concerts and ticket prices.

We are an inclusive social group of adults interested in crafts. We gather with each other on Wednesday evenings to work on our own current personal projects. Whatever the skill: knit, crochet, needlepoint, zentangle, sewing, quilting, beadwork, cross-stitch, scrapbooking, we are willing to teach what we know to others.

Childcare is not provided. Come and be with us as your schedule permits: once a week or once a month, whatever works for you.

Note: Members of our group are highly sensitive to perfume. Please refrain from wearing scent.

Meditation
7:15 AM to 8:30 AM
Everyone is most welcome! The Meditation Group meets twice weekly: at 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday mornings and at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday evenings. Basic guidelines are offered to all newcomers, and guided mediation is offered during some of the sessions.

Each session includes silent sitting mediation, walking mediation, and dharma sharing, in which folks may share their meditation experiences. On most second Wednesdays, our coordinator offers guided meditation with the body, from 5:00 to 5:30 pm. Attendance is free but donations are gratefully accepted.

For more information please contact Pamala Lewis: pamalalewis@comcast.net or Jean Jerbert: j.jerbert@yahoo.com
