Legacy Giving

Thanks to the abiding commitment of its founders, members, and friends All Souls Unitarian Universalist Congregation is a strong liberal religious community.  All Souls provides a welcoming home to those who seek spiritual sustenance, opportunities to clarify their values, and friends with whom to work toward a world of religious freedom, justice, and love.

By including All Souls in your estate plans, you will help guarantee a vibrant future for our mission of welcoming, caring and justice seeking for generations to come. Regardless of the amount, your bequest is a statement of conviction that our congregation and its mission is important now — and will continue to be important long after we are gone.

One of the first adult decisions we made as a couple was joining the All Souls community, which grounded and centered us, giving us a focus beyond our small lives. Over the years, we have benefited from the generosity of others and witnessed how All Souls has thrived thanks to legacy gifts from those in a position to give.  With this in mind, we have decided to make All Souls the beneficiary of a life insurance policy and leave a portion of our estate to this beloved community.

As a married same sex couple, we feel not only included but valued in UU congregations. We are participating in the Legacy Giving program so that this momentum can continue for future generations, so all individuals are included and supported.

I am very grateful for the work being done here now by a dedicated team with our endowment fund. The endowment fund allows me to extend my stewardship of All Soul’s mission beyond my lifetime.

Record your Legacy Intentions with a Legacy Intention Form.
A description of the form and a link to it are below.

The Legacy Intention Form is a way for members of All Souls to express their intention to leave a financial gift in their will or estate plan. This form helps All Souls plan for the future and ensure that our congregation can continue its mission and work for generations to come.

The Intention Form is different from an Annual Pledge Form.   A Pledge Form refers to an annual financial contribution or a promise to support All Souls’ annual budget.  A Legacy Intention indicates your plan to leave a gift as part of your estate planning.  It does not involve immediate financial contributions.

We want every All Souls member to know that any legacy gift, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated. Legacy giving is not reserved for wealthy or rich congregants. Every gift, large or small, contributes to the enduring strength and vitality of our congregation. We also understand that circumstances can change over time, and your plans to leave a legacy gift may not ultimately be possible. The Legacy Intention Form is simply a statement of your current intentions and is not a binding agreement. Your well-being and the well-being of your loved ones will always come first.

Thank you for considering a legacy gift. Your generosity will help ensure that All Souls remains a beacon of hope, love, and justice for years to come.
